One week to go in the Blue Marlin trek and the boys have made their way up to Fraser Island. Have been having a few strikes a day but no success yet on the light line. Yesterday, the boys came across a sight with a hundred or so Manta Rays splashing and jumping on the surface with Capt. Luke marking Tuna down below. Would have been a sight to see. Will leave you with a photo from Friday courtesy of David Granville who joined the boys in the Noosa Canyons once again. This excited Blue took a liking to the teaser with such gusto it swallowed and even managed a jump on the teaser line. Thanks Dave! Reports from Capt Jim and team who ventured out to the mountain over the weekend is that the marlin fishing has slowed right down on the coast. We’ll have to wait and see if it has another burst left in it.
