The annual Townsville Game Fishing Club Billfish Challenge will be held on September 2 to 7, 2011.  This year the format has changed to allow teams fishing to remain at sea for the duration of the competition with no compulsory return to Port days (save the final day of course).  Here’s a sneak peak of what the billfish ground off Townsville and Cape Bowling Green are famous for!

Friday 2nd September –  Sign-on/Briefing & Meet ‘n’ Greet at Townsville Yacht Club
Saturday 3rd September – Shot Gun start and first day of fishing.
Sunday 4th September – Fishing Day and Optional Weigh-in.
Monday 5th September – Fishing Day
Tuesday 6th September – Fishing Day and Compulsory Weigh-in.
Wednesday 7th September – Presentation Dinner at Southbank
