Aussie Abroad ’14 – Part 2

It's been another busy season in the Caribbean for Tradition's Capt. Tim Richardson, fishing for the 3rd season onboard the AMBUSH, a 61' Garlington in the Dominican Republic. February, to April he fished out of Casa De Campo for blue marlin around the locally made FADS. While a little slower than last year, we averaged 2-4 blue marlin a day, and on the good days would see up to 10 blue marlin.

It’s been another busy season in the Caribbean for Tradition’s Capt. Tim Richardson, fishing for the 3rd season onboard the AMBUSH, a 61′ Garlington in the Dominican Republic before returning to Cairns for the big marlin season later in the year.

February, to April he fished out of Casa De Campo for blue marlin around the locally made FADS. While a little slower than last year, we averaged 2-4 blue marlin a day, and on the good days would see up to 10 blue marlin.

Tim’s early season culminated in a 12 day mother shipping trip through the Caribbean with the 264′ Alfa Nero for the owners – 2000 nm in 12 days with lots of exotic island visits and some blue marlin as well for the guests.

May and June has seen Tim back in Cap Cana, about 60nm to the east of Casa De Campo, where the marlin fishing has been really good this year. They are seeing 6-12 white marlin a day, and a blue or two as well most days.

Another month left in this years season, and then back home for the Cairns season back at the wheel of Tradition. 2015 will see Capt Tim back in the Dominican Republic again from Feb to July.
