Sea Fever’s Capt. Ashley Matthews on Reel Easy  went 1 from 3 with a 300lber go for Airlie beach lad Sam Lacey. Thye also jumped 2 smaller models off fishing at Number 8. Capt. Simon Carosi’s Assegai also released two meanwhile plodding away in the middle nearby Capt. Luke Fallon’s KEKOA also released a smaller model for the New Cal Frenchies.

I heard that Capt. Ross Finlayson’s Top Shot has lucked out with the bigger fish bite in the last couple of days. Meanwhile Capt. Brett Goetze’s Amokura went 2 from 3, both small fish 250 and 150lbs.

Myrmidon

Report from TGFC’s Renee McKenzie who headed out to Myrmidon again over the weekend onboard Reef Raine along with other club boats Silverback, and Nautical Blue in spectacular weather. There were 6 fish in total caught from 100lb up to 300lb. Silverback got a solid 250lb black on Saturday, Reef Raine went 2 from 2 on Saturday (100lb and 200lb) and 3 from 5 black marlin on Sunday (200lb, 250lb, 300lb) and also unfortunately jumped off a very solid sailfish.  TGFC Junior Sam Ahern get his first Heavy tackle fish and a second. And first timer Liz also got her first.

Nautical Blue didn’t go without seeing one, they had a solid little fish up and jumping but unfortunately lost it mid fight.

The Sunshine Coast GFC squad have hit the waters off Fraser for another weekend chasing blues.  Jay tells me they converted 5 from 8 blues for the trip in the 250-450 pound range including a first blue for Jay’s Dad (photo below). Pole Dancer was a frustrating 2 from 24 for trip, whie Finatic went 7-6-2 for Saturday fishing. Other boats were Elysium 1-1-0 for the trip and Raising Havoc 4-4-2. From the GOld Coast, Mojo and Mistress. These numbers are all heavy tackle and mostly blues.

No reports. Don’t report to me. Saw them for the first time yesterday since the LI tourney and have to admit did not endear themselves to me!
