Little Audrey 2016 Sydney GFC Peter Goadby Memorial

The 2016 Peter Goadby memorial Tournament Proudly sponsored by Little Audrey charters was held over the weekend. The committee would like to thank all of the sponsors and competitors that entered.

34 boats took to the water, with conditions on Saturday excellent. The numbers of fish tagged were low but there were some quality fish brought to the weigh station. Carnage from broken bay fought a tiger shark for 41/2 hours an outstanding effort. It weighed in at 479kg on 15kg line, the Heaviest Shark taking home $2,000.

Rabbit from Port Hacking GFC battled a nice blue marlin that weighed in at 171.5kg on 24kg and landed them the $5,000 Heaviest Marlin.

Smartbill trialed the running of a new boat with great success, to take out Champion Boat T&R with 12,500 points. Plus they won Most Marlin Tag & Release, which gives them a 3 day live aboard trip on Little Audrey Charters at Cairns.

Elly Offord fishing aboard Cookie from Port Hacking GFC took out out Champion Lady T&R – and congratulations to Elly on her first marlin.

Sunday saw tougher conditions. Compton from Lake Maquarie GFC hooked a nice blue marlin & was always going to be a close call measuring at 2.600mm same as Rabbit but the scales called it in at 168.5kg.

Thank you to all competitors & look forward to seeing everyone at Broken Bay GFC 30th April & 1st May.
