Gold Coast before the storm

Updated: Hot Shot went 15 from 21 yesterday (Wednesday). Awesome fishing. But the weather has really put paid to fishing for the rest of the week this time #slowmovingcyclone.

NSW South Coast is also fishing very well. Chloe and Tom Laurence on Tomohawk released 5 from 7 and Richie Abela’s Dream Catcher also released 5 including a triple header with only two on board!

Several boats took advantage of the good weather ahead of Tropical Cyclone Oma’s visit to SEQ (if she ever makes it here!) Tuesday for some more great fishing for the light tackle blacks. Capt. Craig “Sparra” Denham’s Hot Shot was on fire with 11 from 12 including the first, second and third marlin ever for his guests!

Troy Windsor on Blade Runner also had a hot day releasing 9 from a dozen bites that Troy said were in the 15 to 50kg range.

Topnotch Game Fishing’s Marlene and Russell Hicks christened their new boat the 65 Precision Brilliant Company with 4 from 8. Marlene said while the bounced off a few in the morning, they made the afternoon bites stick and that the Caterpillars raise fish!
