Coffs Harbour: Glen Booth reports from the Solitary Islands Game Fishing Club pointscore day last Saturday which nine boats fished. Glen says the water’s still blue and warm outside 80 fathoms, with the temperature between 25.5 and 26.5 degrees but the blue marlin were a bit doughy, as they have been on and off this year. Black and Blue managed to tag one of 200kg from two bites. Some nice yellowfin tuna are getting around, with two tagged at 35kg apiece, a couple more lost, and another weighed in at 33 on 24. Big dollies are still present, as are the wahoo, the best being around 15kg.

Sydney Peter Goadby Memorial Results: Smartbill took out the T&R section with 4 marlin tags, all caught by Champion Female Angler Claire Graham. Champion Male Angler was Doug Grant on Incognito with 3 marlin tags. In A Meeting was the runner-up Champion Boat T&R. In the Capture section, Blue Illusion edged out Rampage for the gong.
