Photo from Capt. Corey Hard’s Askari of a nice fish on his last trip as they do changeover in Cooktown last night (report to come).  Yesterday seemed like a quieter day along the reef but some big fish still making themselves known.

Capt. Brett Goetze’s Amokura went two from four including this fish late in the day that he put at 950lbs (below).

Capt. Tim Richardson’s Tradition went 3 from 6 including this ‘frisky’ 500lb-er. Tim tells me that Capt. John Batterton’s Hookin’ Bull caught a big one as well.  He also tells me that Capt. Adam Jordan’s Iona II caught one at Number 8 and Capt. Dan McCarthy on Moana III accounted for a small one at the Bank (from 3) but tells me otherwise its quiet down to the south.
