Gold Coast light tackle fun, blues continue

I had a message from Mark Palazzi reporting from yesterday off the Gold Coast.  Mark says there are still a few procrastinating about going back to work and going fishing instead :-)

He fished solo for a 2-1-1 black marlin with a 40kg model fishing the dirty water line 45 to 50m off the Pin. Mark says he also heard of another guy out there solo converting a 2-2-2 just a few miles south. He’s planning on another shot on Friday once the SE is back.

In other GC news, congratulations to 9 y.o. Jayden Holmes, son of Chad Holmes/Addixion who weighed a pending record black marlin at 32.3kg on 4kg which is a pending record claim is for Small Fry Male and Junior Male for both state and Australian national!

Capt. Glanville Heydenrych’s Mufasa has been picking away at the blue marlin (and light tackle dollies) releasing one for DJ Kraftykuts on Monday following up on another for visiting US angler Lauren last week.

The Central Coast Bluewater Classic results are on their way after the presentation event last night.
