Ulladulla Jess Sams

The Ulladulla Game Fishing Club hosted its 82nd Annual Jess Sams Game Fishing Tournament as a Bush Fire Appeal last weekend raising over $30,000 for the local RFS units! Although the fishing was restricted to a one day event due to the weather, it was tight at the top of the leaderboard. All three top placings tagged three fish. Congrats to Tom Laurence and his team on Tomahawk for the win on countback!

Mooloolaba Garmin Billfish Babes

Congrats to all the ladies who competed in Saturday’s comp in great weather enjoying great fishing! Conditions for the day were just light winds with 1.5- 2m swell, most overcast with patchy rain.
12 boats and 31 babes competed resulting in 53 strikes, 45 hook-ups, 29 fish.  These were comprised of 18 black marlin, 1 stripe marlin, 2 mahi mahi and 5 wahoo.

Congratulations to the team on Evan Jones’ Keneka for the win with 5 tags and to Champion Babe Brgitte Cox who tagged two.

The Sunshine Coast still firing light tackle. With young Ben Massurit on the rod Athrill went 4 from 7 on blacks Friday.
