Action pic from Ant Dimech’s Big Banana with a close encounter of the marlin kind!

Ant tells me this was the end result of going hard after the fish to try and get back onto the bait as quickly as possible. Lulled into a sense of security after the fish settled down significantly a few minutes into the fight, it got excited again when they cut across on the angle to get a quick tag shot. Great action sequence – and no marlins or bananas were harmed! :-)

And another photo of a lady angler who saw some great action over the long weekend below. Simon Fisher tells me that the Monday saw a slightly more timid bite but there were still lots of fish around. They managed to raise one for Claire Graham who tagged a nice stripe on Ivan Bennet’s Ambition before they backed it up with a second fish, this time a black.
