On Day 2, Pete O’Brien made up for Day 1 karma (broken rod) on Kekoa to storm into contention – with the Win TV crew on board to catch all the action. By the first sked they had four tags including a successful double header. Second sked, another three tags, including another successful double header. And ending the day with a sailfish for Pete, hooked up at 4:29pm during the final sked, and just a minute before cease fishing. With 8 tags for Day 2, that brings them to a total of 9 for the tournament thus far, just behind on count back from the team on Game Time who had another solid day with 6 tags, also bringing their total to 9. Also finding the fish on Day 2 was Sweat N Tears with Capt. Calvin Tilley. Starting with the first fish tagged for the day (black marlin), they also ended the day with 6 fishing bringing their total to 7, level with the team on board Rose Red. Castille III tagged the first sailfish of the day as well as another 4 marlin bringing them to a total of 6 tags, just behind the leaders. Meanwhile, Sea Baby IV and Reel Chase sit another two back at 4 tags.Approximately 70 billfish were tagged on Day 2 – another top fish day at Cape Bowling Green.
