Capt. Brett Alty and the team on Mistress are plugging away on good fish in the middle. Brett reports two nice ones over the past two days – a 750lb black marlin for Mark Benjamin on Monday with Sean Fitzpatrick following up with a 700+lb fish on Tuesday. Some stills from the video above.

And young Jacinta Thomas is back on land after spending the last 5 days with father Steve on board Capt. Brett Thomas’ Gorilla. Steve tells me there was no record fish for Jacinta this year although the fishing was very good with 6 from 10 releases. All the fish were around that 300lb mark and caught on the 50lb in the chair.

I also had an update from Capt. Chris “Sharky” Miles on Kanahoee who has been fishing up the Rock end and has finally got a few days fishing in after the end of last week’s run of bad weather.  Sharky says that in the three days fishing they released an enviable 6 marlin. The first day going 5 from 6, adding another the next day and jumping off a nice fish of about 900lbs on the third.
