Surfers Paradise SGFC held their social “Winter Blues” day over the weekend for a mixed bag.

6 boats competed resulting in 19 strikes and 5 tags (4 blues and a stripe) Therapy tagged a blue each to Dan Daniel Butler and Wazza Hall. Ripples/Team Garmin 1 tagged a striped marlin to Kirsty Ripley (from 5). Old Mate tagged a blue to Wayne Walters. And CJ tagged a blue to Darren Hepburn.

Outside the social comp there was plenty of action although not all of it converted with boats raising up to 9 fish!

Ash Haigh sent me the pics at top from Saturday releasing a stripe on sunset. Gorgeous shot at a great time of day. Some glorious days on the water at this time of year.

Quite a few stripes around at this time of year with Capt. Craig “Sparra” Denham’s Hot Shot also releasing two stripes earlier in the week.
