60th Anniversary Peter Goadby Memorial Tournament Report

60th-anniversary-peter-goadby-memorial-tournament-report

Participants were treated to some sensational weather over the 2 days of the tournament with the odd gust of 5knt wind. These conditions made up for the lack of marlin in large numbers but there were a few about, you just had to be at the right spot at the right time.

A number of boats also caught good sized yellowfin over 50kg and the shark boys really got into it with a few very large toothy critters caught and lost, the biggest one going 410.1kg.

Congratulations to all the sponsors who donated so generously and in particularly Phil and Dan from Little Audrey Charters who put up a 3 day trip heavy tackle fishing this year in Cairns for the winner of the Champion Boat Tag and Release and congratulations to Loose Crew who took it out with the trophy with three tags. The team on Little Audrey were not far behind with two blue marlin on 50lb for Ken.
